Nippon Sei Ko Kai (Anglican Church) Karuizawa Shaw Memorial Church 日本聖公会 軽井沢ショー記念礼拝堂
Karuizawa’s first church, established in 1895 by a Canadian missionary Alexander Croft Shaw and his colleagues. A.C.Shaw was called the “Father of Karuizawa”.

Kumano Kotai Shrine 熊野皇大神社
A shrine is located on the Nagano and Gunma prefectural border. The old Shina tree (a Japanese linden), is considered a holy tree, and said to bring good luck or improved chance of marriage.

Sentoji temple 泉洞寺
A temple founded in 1598. Unique stone Jizo images including “Haita Jizo”, who tilts his head to rest his cheek on his left hand, and “Curling Jizo”, who stands on a stone with a curling brush in his hand, are popular.
